Biorend

Biorend is a natural organic, biodegradable, non-toxic and non-polluting product, the active ingredient of which is a natural polymer derived from the Chitin, called Chitosan, that we produce in our Industrial Plant located in Tierra del Fuego, Chile’s XII Region.
In its manufacture, we use the Chitin, which we extract from the King Crab and Snow Crab shells, which are captured in the waters of the Straight of Magellan, Chile’s XII Region.
The Characteristics of this Chitin is unique in the World in terms of its water purity and physico-chemical properties (molecular weight, degree of deacetilation, etc.) to increase the root mass of plants and protection against the attack of pathogens.
BIOREND works through the activation of plant defense mechanisms through the utilization of this Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) molecule formulation.
Biorend is a product that is being used Worlwide, in sustainable production and integrated into the environment, being identified as a Phytosanitary Product of Natural Biological Origin, with high rates of Control over Antagonists and a stimulating effect on the phytoalexin system of the plants. It is used both for Control of diseases, such as Verticilium, Phytophtora, Fusarium, Phytium, Botrytis, etc., and Root Stimulation and Growing of Plants. It is applied in Grapes and Wine Vineyards, Stone fruit trees, Citric fruit, etc., by introducing it to the Dripping Irrigation Systems and Foliar spraying. Also it is used in new plantations, as a Root Bath before the planting.
BIOREND is being increasingly used for its Nematostatic effect, as it provides for a natural and organic means to reduce the number of phytoparasit nematodes by increasing their antagonistic chitinolytic microbial flora while highligting the significant expansion of Entomopatogen Nematodes controlling the diverse pests, mainly by inducing the multiplication of symbiont bacteria associated to the Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus species.
When applied on a foliar basis, BIOREND provides for Protection against Aerial Diseases affecting plants and fruits, as its active ingredient, Chitosan, in addition to its fungistatic effect, provides a protecting film against fungus attack such us Botrytis and improves quality and calibration of fruits.
In summary, BIOREND acts as a Biostimulant, Biofungicide, Bionematicide and Protector of Aerial diseases.
In Fruit trees, Grapes and Wine vineyards, Citric fruits, etc., we recommend applying 20 to 30 liters of BIOREND per hectare, distributed in 2 to 3 applications of 10 lt/ha each, diluted in the irrigation water (at 1%, at least) with intervals of 25 days among applications. Applications should be made during root growth peaks.
Also to supplement the application via irrigation to the roots, apply 10 to 15 liters of BIOREND per ha, distributed in 3 to 4 applications of 4 liters each, through Foliar spraying at a rate of 0.25 to 0,50% (for example 4 liters of Biorend in 1,000 liters of water per hectare) at intervals of 25 to 30 days.
In the case of Vegetables, there are multiple Essays (Tomatoes, Garlics, Onions, etc.) showing that, in addition to increased performance, a major quality improvement is achieved, resulting in higher calibration, and better colour and appearance. In this area, it is currently recommended using the product in a mix of the following treatments: Root Bath at the sowing or transplant time, by diluting the product at 10%; Irrigation and Foliar spraying during Growing at a rate of at least 5 applications of 3 liters per Hectare each.
Biorend is also used in combination of Biological products (such us Trichoderms, Entomopathogenic fungus, Entomopathogenic nematodes, Paecilomyces lilacinum, etc.) because it enhances the antagonistic properties of them, helping in their establishment and/or multiplication.
Finally. it should be noted that BIOREND has been certified by the Swiss company, IMO, for use in the Organic Agriculture according to United States regulation USDA AMS 7 CFR Part 205 NOP, and Japanese Regulation JAS Law N 175.
Also BIOREND is certified in United States by OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) and in Spain by CAAE (Ecological Production Spain).
